By Your Side Kits

In 2016, we initiated a new program to provide chemo care kits to all women in Oregon and SW Washington who have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and are entering chemotherapy treatment. The kits are also available to women facing a recurrence who are also undergoing chemotherapy.

The By Your Side kits include a teal tote which is filled with items like a teal fleece blanket, an ovarian cancer resource guide, a water bottle and a notebook. Brochures detailing our Peer Mentoring program and our Here4You financial assistance program are also included.

The bags are assembled by volunteers and distributed to chemotherapy centers at Compass Oncology, Legacy Health, OHSU, Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Kaiser Permanente. They are also sent to a practice in Bend, and satellite centers in Salem and Medford.
